En Abril 22 del 2004 por vez primera, me uní al grupo y desde entonces cada jueves me voy con mis perritas a practicar Kayak. Aquí está Minga sentada en el frente y Enrique se ve al fondo.

On April 22, 2004, I joined the group for the first time. Since then, every Thursday I practice Kayak with my doggies. Here is Minga sit in the front and Enrique is in the background.

Enrique se volteó con Minga a bordo quien lo abandonó nadando hacia mi Kayak. Kiona en cambio que estaba conmigo, sin pensarlo dos veces saltó al agua para ir a salvarle... bueno, Kiona pesa 5.5 Kilos y Enrique... mejor no digo una cifra.

Enrique flipped over with Minga on board, who abandoned him swimming towards my Kayak. On the other hand, Kiona who was with me, without thinking it twice jumped into the water to save him... well, Kiona is eleven pounds and Enrique... I better do not say a number.

Es una experiencia fantástica. Allí conocí a mi amiga Gigi, quien es instructora de Kayak y de español, y a su perrita Chatita. Además aquí están Wen y Joe, sus primos de Virginia.

It is a fantastic experience. This is where I met my friend Gigi, who is a Kayak and Spanish instructor, and her dog Chatita. Also, here are her Virginia cousins, Wen and Joe.

It is hard to believe that this activity is offered just five minutes away from my home which is in the heart of Dallas. I want to thank Chris and Mariner Sails for making all this possible for free.

We row to different parts of the lake. Sometimes, when there is a concert, we go to the Arboretum. Floating in the water, we create a mass of Kayaks to share all kinds of food and a tasty glass of wine.

	Kayak > Lago White Rock < Una de mis resoluciones para el 2004, fué la de aprender a operar un velero. Estuve investigando clubes en el lago que está a unas cuadras de mi casa, pero nadie respondió a mis llamadas ni mensajes. Como siempre, me abrí a lo que el Universo tuviera preparado para mí. Un buen día que fuí con Enrique a dar la vuelta al lago en bicicleta, me encontré a Tom, el entrenador de mis perras quien me dijo acerca de un grupo de Kayak. En la foto de arriba estamos Minga, Kiona, y yo con chalecos salvavidas especiales, disfrutando de este asombroso deporte.			Kayak > White Rock Lake < One of my resolutions for 2004 was to learn how to operate a sail boat. I was calling different clubs in the lake which is a few blocks away from my home, but nobody answered my phone calls neither my messages. As usual, I opened to whatever the Universe had ready for me. One day, I went with Enrique to ride bicycles at the lake and I met with Tom who is my dog's trainer. He told me about a Kayak group who gathers there. In the picture above are Minga, Kiona, and myself with special life vests enjoying this amazing sport.

	Es increíble que esta actividad exista a cinco minutos de mi casa en el corazón de Dallas. Quiero agradecer a Chris y a Mariner Sails por hacer esto posible completamente gratis. Remamos a diversas partes del lago. Algunas veces cuando hay concierto, vamos frente a los Jardines Botánicos.
